Keynote speaker, Dr. Katharine Wilkinson, is an author, strategist, and teacher dedicated to sustainable living and combating global warming. She is the vice president of communication and engagement at Project Drawdown, a global research organization that analyzes solutions to climate change. She co-wrote the best-selling “Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming.”

Dr. Sally Brown will deliver the closing address. She is on the faculty at the University of Washington, where the focus of her research is on cleaning contaminated soils. She is the co-author of  “The Compost and Climate Connection” and will provide valuable insights into city- and countywide sustainability, remediation, and recycling practices.
